I know, I’ve had a lot of ideas, but hear me out. The 70 Series LC, we all love it, but unless you’re in somewhere like Australia, the Middle East, or Japan, you can’t just walk into a showroom and buy one. But what if a tractor company signed on to federalize and sell them in North America?

Think about it. Farmers are prime market for these types of trucks. They’re simple, capable, and ultra reliable. Perfect for doing, well, farm truck stuff. When was the last time you saw a brand new truck on farm plates? I haven’t. Not only that, it would give these tractor dealers a whole new customer base. Not only do you have farmers coming to your dealer for tractor stuff, you’ve also got a new clientele who simply want a small, simple truck. Subaru got their start in the UK selling their cars at tractor dealers, so it’s not too out there.

Didn’t Mahindra wanted to do something similar in the US? I mean they do have tractor dealers:

I always thought they were going to set up their own dealers, seperate from the tractors. But it would make sense for them to go through their already developed tractor dealer network. Damn shame we never got them.

Yeah the tractor idea might have worked for them, it is not a shame that you guys didn’t get them as they are cheap, noisy and unreliable so not the best choice in pick up trucks. Especially compared to a Land Crusier.

They should be able to sell, like, 50 a year! Seriously, for the price they would sell at it would be a low take rate. Even with the 1gr-fe and manual trans they are like 55 grand.
